‘Petals Fall Now and Then’ (2020) oil on canvas 150 x 120 cm

Chloë’s work defies categorisation. She is a multi medium artist who, whilst working extensively in paint, is equally at home working in print, video, creating installations, as well as collaborating with artists, musicians, clothing and interior designers.

Throughout this extensive genre, her work explores the fragility of vision and ideas of remixing reality. She does this through a sensitive inquiry into the relationship between individual and collective memory and imagination and by utilising her identity within space and her forged identity within new spaces and how orientation, movement and balance, within a space influences spectatorship. She also considers the role memory plays in the activation of a spectator’s senses. That work is founded on the resonance of observation and found imagery and evokes a sense of tension between exotic escapism and harnessing a desire to bring the natural world into an interior space.

Chloë was awarded a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Painting from the University of Brighton (2009-2012) and an MA in Fine Art from The Slade School of Fine Art (2012-2014) where she was awarded the Euan Uglow Memorial Scholarship. In 2020 she completed an MA in Art Therapy at Lasalle College of Art Singapore where she was awarded a Distinction and the Lasalle Scholarship.

Her work is included in several international private collections and has been exhibited in the UK, USA, Singapore, Israel and Italy. Her work, ‘Petals Fall Now and Then’ was projected on to the front elevation of the National Gallery Singapore between July to August 2020 as part of Singapore’s 55 National Birthday Celebrations and, between January to May 2019 she had a solo exhibition, ‘The Fruitfilness of Forgetting,’ at Eden Hall Singapore, the historical bungalow where her late grandfather was born and which is currently the residence of the British High Commissioner. Chloë’s work is currently exhibited at The Raffles Hotel Singapore and at Changi City Point Mall Singapore (14m chandelier public sculpture commission). She has also exhibited at Art Porters Gallery Singapore, Università Cattolica of Milan IT, Joshua Tree Highlands Artist Residency CA USA and Fondazione Rivoli Due Collectoin Milan IT.
